Panowie zagrałem pierwszy raz i gierka jest SUPER <3 Pytanko ode mnie
1. Jakie ulepszenia polecacie do gry? Widziałem już lepsze i wieksze pomoce graczy na BGG po polsku. Malowanie beczek, no i oczywiscie zetony z KS. A tak to jakies rady jak sprawic by gra byla jeszcze lepsza?
2. Rady na start? Najlepsze albo dobre taktyki na wygranie?
Odnośnie do drugiego pytanie wklejam z jednego z wątków na BGG:
The OP, your question is for general tips, as I think you imagine that in depth strategy would be a lot of reading of threads on here. I've played 80+ times and won a good bit, so I'll through out just a few to get you going:
1. Action efficiency -- the most limited resource in the game is actions, so use them wisely to get several points (on average) for every single card you play if you can. It was probably excessive when you scouted 3 times -- craft a strategy that better fits the cards you are dealt. When each era starts, you are looking at half of all the cards you will ever see.
2. Iron is high points and doesn't require a separate sell action. Prioritize it if your hand allows. Build it when the market is low and it will flip.
3. Try to build Level 2 or higher buildings only in canal -- they score twice. Develop away the Level 1's. Developing on your first turn is common -- develop away Level 1 iron, or you level 1 Beers. (If you want to build Cotton, develop away Level 1's, etc).
4. Canals should be viewed as only a means to an end. Do not pursue canals as a scoring tool. Those actions could be better used on things that will score twice, or things that set up the heavy scoring in Rail Era. Canals are to connect things that you need to connect.
5. Rails, on the other hand, are an end in and of themselves. Compete on rail even if you aren't primarily doing rail. The points on rail should range from 30 to 55, very significant. If you let a player run away with rails, he will score 70-75.
6. Beer is a scarce resource in Birmingham, the beer industry locations are valuable. Save all your beer cards. When in doubt, get one out. They score well for the money, don't have to be sold. Other players will use them if you build them, though. So try to build them when you can use them.
7. There is not as much use for Beer in canal -- you might flip one or two of your own if you try hard, but really beer in canal is setting up locations for Rail.
8. Don't forget you can overbuild your own beer when needed in rail. So get those locations nailed down, and then when you need two beers to sell something, overbuild and use it in one turn.
9. The rails coming off of Derby are the most valuable in Birmingham. Try to have level 2 presence at Derby, and try to go first in rail, with enough money and beer on the board to build 2 double rails.
10. Unlike Lancashire, the big city in Birmingham (Birmingham) does not always fill up. Sometimes if you put several rails down, it will be a ghost town. Be prepared to either wait and see, or build it up yourself. If Birmingham builds out with industries that have links, then those links will be valuable. But it's not as much of a guarantee in Birmingham.
11. Heavy reliance on either cotton or manufactured goods is not a "sure thing" in Birmingham. Those things need to supplement a well-balanced approach with rail, beer, iron, etc.
12. Do not chase income just to chase it-- you can win with high income, or low income. Go with the opportunities that present themselves. Lots of loans if your income is not there, but on the flip side, lots of low-point coal building is required for high income. The best mix is enough income to keep from getting into a loan spiral. (One coal build that sells can reverse the effect of 2-3 loans if you in the low income range. perfect).
13. Develop when iron is cheap. Do not hesitate to take iron off another players unflipped iron, if it's going to flip anyway.
