EuropeMasters 2008 edition

This year the EuropeMasters organization is going to organize the European
Championships Boardgames for the 9th time at the Spiel'08 in Essen. The
European Championship has a long history as it started in 1976. This year it
is the 21st (!) edition.

In the last couple of years the European Championship has grown out to a
highly valuated and visible event at the Spiel in Essen as well as the
European gaming scene. The number of players as different number of
nationalities participating is growing each year. For the 2007 edition over
120 players participated from 11 different nationalities: UK, Netherlands,
Belgium, France, Suisse, Germany, Austria, Italy, Finland, Hungary and the
Czech Republic. For 2008 edition we hope that also players from other
countries are going to participate.

To participate at the EC you register as team of 4 players. During the
tournament each player plays 4 different games. Each time against players
from different nationalities. This year the games are:
- Neuland - Eggert Spiele
- In the Year of the Dragon - ALEA
- Amyitis - Ystari Games
- League of Six - CGE
In the end the best team result determines the EC for 2008.

We request a registration fee of Eur 75.-. In return you will receive a set
of games for training purposes (send to you in advance), 1 set of games
after the tournament and a chance on nice gaming prizes. The entrance fee to
the Spiel is excluded.

If you are interested please contact me. If you cannot attend this year, but
maybe next year contact me anyway. Next year we will celebrate our 10th
anniversary and we hope to have our biggest tournament ever.

Czyżby eliminacje do polskiej drużyny na Pionku?

Ronald od dawna mnie męczy, abyśmy zorganizowali w Polsce eliminacje, problem jest jednak taki, ze zwyciezcom wypadaloby zapewnic udzial w finalach w Essen, a to sie wiaze z kosztami. W zeszlym roku nie udalo mi sie na to znalezc sponsorow a w tym nawet nie mialem sily takowych szukac.

a kiedy wiadomo jakie gry sa w danym roku? te co beda teraz to wiadomo od dzis, czy od pol roku?

Wiadomo co najmniej od kilku miesiecy

i to zajmuje graczom cale essen? czy np czw-pia? ( w tym roku nie jade do essen, ale w przyszlym... przy czym jesli to zajmuje cale essen to jestem ciekaw kto i po co sie na to decyduje...)

a tak w ogole nie rozumiem po co eliminacje. jak ostatnio gralo 25 druzyn z 10 krajow to bardzo bardzo nie brzmi jakby byl limit 1 druzyny na kraj. znajdujesz kumpli i 75 euro, i startujesz, czy ja czegos nie zrozumialem?
