Konkretna opinia, to lubię.
Faktycznie tak to mniej więcej wygląda?card issue is enforced by the fact that action selection works with 5 "action cards" from 1 to 5, being strongest at position 5. And once used, It moves back to slot 1 to move the others up. So at 5 It's very likely that Its your best bet to take that action. That's certainly not a mandatory thing, but aside from Its power, Its also blocking other actions to not level up If you don't play It.. Now imagine you don't have a good collection of cards and your top card is "play animals" and you'd rather play the "cards" action, but that one Is at spot 2. So ok, now you choose "play animals" which makes you even play 2 animals because It's at 5, both of which you can't or don't particularly want to play, just to unlock the card at spot 4 to move to 5 and make your "Cards" action, which you really need, move up.
And, sure, that's part of the game. We all have the same issue and managing and planning these cards is part of the game. But we don't all have the same bad situation to get out of, which Is mostly created by the randomization of cards. And there lies my main issue with the game. Not saying there's nothing you can do against Is. You can upgrade your cards action card first to get more snapping options (take cards from the open tableau) or go strong on science to unlock more open cards. But, even then, and again, that's why I think It's not even just "luck of the draw", I have a hard time buying cards that synergies with my situation. There's something with the card balance or design that seems to make It less harmonious as TFM or UC. There are also comparatively strong cards or suddenly an overload of good cards which "ideally" spreads evenly, but can also cause random imbalance in player power.
A practical example:
I played a sponsor card which combos with birds because I have no better one and the card action selection makes you do the action at some point, even when you don't really want to. But It's blocking other cards to get to the most powerful 5 spot, so, you just play It anyway. Since It's probably the best thing to do lets just hope I pick up some birds along the way. During the whole game, picking over 40 ~ 50 cards or so, I've not seen one bird card, not even on display. I mean, come on!
But, sure, there's other things to do. I adapt, It's fine. I luckily started with a bunch of predators, for which I partnered with Europe. But hm, It does work against the green scoring card for Africa. So I decide to go for the other green scoring card, reptiles, since I have one reptile card in hand. And, what do you think? Not 1 reptile cards that pass by. Ok, well, lets then double down on predators, scoring a lot with those and even winning the game, yes! you'd think. But mweh, It still doesn't feel as satisfying as It should be, because It feels more like the game was playing me than the other way around.
