To gra stricte solo. Jest masa 1vs1 o tej bitwie.
Zdecydowanie odradzam; to typowa gra solo, z Rosjanami mocno statycznymi.
Stalingrad - Advance to the Volga
Played three times. Started with the short scenario, played the main game twice.
I want to like it. There's a lot to like about it. But, I'm not sure.
It really is a simple numbers game.
To at least get an operational victory, you must have 40 control points (at least one "heavy urban" area) but the end of turn 9.
You start with 9 control points. So you need to average just over 3 zones per turn to get the basic victory.
With average dice rolls, you should be able to keep your forces in artillery and Stukas each turn. I tried to keep back 1 supply point per turn, at least. Useful for the time you got a lousy supply roll.
24th Division is your sledgehammer. It carves a path the the heavy urban areas and just starts hammering away.
You can get away with one unsupported attack most turns, going after the softer "open" areas, and later the "elevated" areas that are not quite as tough as others (+2 vs +3 terrain)
But I don't find much reason to plan anything. It's kinda like Pac-Man ... Just keep gobbling areas up as quick as you can.
Adding the optional rule about isolation makes a little tactical reason to choose paths of advance. But ultimately I think that would make the game easier ...
I like the game.
Good quality, and I like the mechanics.
I'm just not sure it's one that I will revisit.
Just my .02
(Which when adjusted for inflation, taxed, and then compared to the price of creamed corn in Australia - doesn't mean much)
